Villa are again monitoring the Cruzeiro centre-forward ahead of January, Sport Witness reported on September 16th in a piece relayed by Read Aston Villa, which noted that Villa scouts had watched him in person in Brazil on the trip that preceded their signing of Alysson. There is no Villa offer and no negotiation with Cruzeiro. AC Milan and Benfica have lodged enquiries, and Fiorentina and Bayer Leverkusen are also tracking him. Cruzeiro extended his contract to 2030 earlier this year and intend to use that as leverage to hold out for a high fee, with valuations reported around €40m-€45m. The 24-year-old has 43 goals in his last 86 club appearances, including 17 in 40 this year, and was named in Carlo Ancelotti's preliminary Brazil squad for September without making the final selection.
