Villa are among the Premier League clubs interested in the Spurs midfielder ahead of January, the German outlet Fussball News reported on October 31st, with Leeds and Everton also keeping tabs. Spurs are still planning with the 26-year-old, who remains in Roberto De Zerbi's plans, and the report calls a winter move far from certain; any sale would need a big fee after Spurs paid Atlético Madrid around €40m for him in January. Villa were beaten to his signing by Spurs at that point. No approach, bid, or fee has been reported.
